Ate breakfast at J’s for the first time and at 11am, it had a good number of families and regular customers. Cute little diner/luncheonette type of place, clean, great service and tasty, inexpensive food!
Our waitress was attentive and sweet and i liked the fact that she knew some of the customer’s names. Their home fries, omelettes, french toast and coffee are all delicious. Unfortunately, they close at 3PM. Hopefully they see these reviews and see that people do want to go to J’s at later hours. I’m looking forward to trying their chicken and waffles! Oh, and they serve milkshakes!

Enjoyed a South of the Border Omelette…Chorizo Caramelized Onions and Banana Peppers for lunch today…no toast, yes home fries…turkey bacon on the side…Charlie had a Steak House Burger with Sautéed Mushrooms and Caramelized Onions topped with Fresh Mozzarella…Deluxe.

Have ya heard of us?
Service from Kyla was excellent…one of the gentlemen from the kitchen asked how we enjoyed our food…
And even though we arrived just before 3pm (which is their closing time), we didn’t feel rushed out…I’ll be back.

The food is great. You could eat here every day of the week, and have something unique and delicious. Warm, inviting owner (Joe), and friendly staff. Modern, fresh, expertly prepared food with a throwback atmosphere, a sense of community from days gone by. Eating here is not just a “business transaction.” It’s a sense of belonging and being appreciated.

I’ve always been a fan of supporting local, small businesses. J’s on the Bay makes it easy. The prior location was good, but pretty standard. J’s took a good thing and made it better.
The biggest plus for me is the menu, which is colorful and varied. Sure, you can get the usuals, eggs, pancakes, soups, sandwiches and burgers… but they use great ingredients and diverse flavor combinations.
It closes at 3pm. Sure, it’s a luncheonette, I get it. Still, I wish it stayed open later.
The decor has remained true to it’s roots and preserves that soda fountain feel, but it has an updated, modernized feel.
The service is friendly.

Small attentive staff, excellent menu, the new owner of this established site, has taken it up a notch, food is very good. Not what you expect for a coffee shop type menu. A bit pricey for eggs over easy, but there is always a crowd waiting for a seat. Go enjoy.

My family and I went to the grand opening of J’s on the Bay yesterday for lunch. I had a cheeseburger that was made the way I liked it. It was delicious. My husband had pasta fagioli which he enjoyed. The waitress took our order with no problems and was very friendly. We all enjoyed our lunch. They also serve breakfast. We will be trying the breakfast very soon.
Wishing this new restaurant great success.
